REYCO Size Reducer
The REYCO Size Reducer is designed to minimize the size of waste products before they are introduced to the REYCO Positive Pneumatic waste system. Large waste items can have a detrimental effect on any pneumatic system in two areas. The most obvious is when a piece is introduced to the system that is too large for any point in the pipe, the system has the potential to plug and must be cleared in order to continue functioning. The less obvious problem occurs when larger items are introduced to the rotary valves and overfill the pocket size. When this happens, the valve will actually shear the item as the vane rotates through the valve body. This will force the waste piece through the system however it will cause additional wear on the rotary valve itself, resulting in premature failure.

To eliminate these potential problems, REYCO designed the heavy-duty Size Reducer. This unit consists of a series of _” thick blades which rotate through a stationary shear grid within a stainless steel housing. These units have proven effective at destroying whole heads of lettuce and cabbage as well as melon rinds and pineapple cores. The REYCO Size Reducer is engineered to mount directly above a REYCO Rotary Valve assembly in what is known as a “stack-up” system.

REYCO Bin Leveler
The REYCO Bin Leveler is designed to distribute and level waste containers resulting in a consistent fill without spillage. The system consists of a length of auger surrounded by a stainless steel shroud which is mounted immediately below the discharge receiver of a positive pneumatic waste system. Each Bin Leveler is designed to be suspended over a waste bin or trailer and is manufactured to a specific length for a given application. In most cases, the customer or installation contractor supplies the mountings and support structure for the Bin Leveler.

REYCO Sound Enclosure
REYCO designs and builds Sound Enclosures to custom-fit blower packages or other sources of sound emission to reduce facility noise levels. Excess plant noise is a continuing cause of concern where workers are present so isolation and reduction of high noise items is a critical step in maintaining a safe work environment. The Sound Enclosure is manufactured of stainless steel or painted mild steel and is insulated to reduce noise levels by as much as 30 decibels. These systems are made with bolted or lockable access doors or panels to allow for ease of service and cleaning when required.

Pick-up Points
At REYCO Systems we pride ourselves in designing systems for the present as well as the future. In the fast growing fresh-cut industries for example, we often find that an initial trim facility may double or triple in size within a few years. With this in mind, several of our customers have requested that REYCO design waste systems for expected growth scenarios. In this way, a system is sized to handle two to four times the initial waste requirements and the proper pipe sizes, blower package, and discharge receiver is in place for that capacity from day one. Additional pick up points are simply added later in areas where new trim lines are required.
